Humber Renewables Awards 2018... We've Been Shortlisted!

As one of the fastest growing independent brands of biomass wood pellets, Y Pellets has been nominated and subsequently shortlisted in the Green Innovation category at the Humberside Renewables Awards 2018.

Hosted by the Hull Daily Mail, the annual awards ceremony is a high calibre event which attracts an increasing number of commercial organisations operating within the region's thriving energy and renewables industry. Now in its 7th year, the event takes place on 11 May 2018.

The Green Innovation Category acknowledges companies who have had a significant impact in delivering green energy whether through innovation, products and services, or changing their approach to energy efficiency. This could be through developing an alternative business model, refining or introducing new technologies or generating cleaner power and reducing carbon footprint.

Managing Director, Neil Holland, commented, "We are delighted to have been nominated and shortlisted for this award, especially following our recent new development announcement. The Humber region is at the forefront of the UK's renewables energy market and Y Pellets will play a key part of that so being shortlisted in the green innovation category fully supports our plans and vision moving forward. "

Y Pellets supplies premium quality, biomass wood pellets to homes and businesses throughout the UK from its 5,000 tonne storage facility in Goole. The company has announced plans to construct a new, multi-million pound wood refinery at Goole 36 industrial park as part of ambitious growth plans and this will become one of the largest, private renewable energy investment projects in the UK over the forthcoming months.
